Finally: Internet Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced

The Internet Car and Truck of the Year (ICTY) keeps chugging along and hit something of a milestone yesterday as head man Keith Griffin released the news that the seven finalists in each category have been further whittled down to just three a piece. In case you didn't know, the ICTY is following an "Internet Pro and Average Joe" format, because, well – it's the internet. Meaning that twelve experts (hi mom!) voted on what they think the Internet CarTruck of the year should be, as well as the collective mob voices of all you online types. Meaning that a total of four awards will be given out. Two by us online journalist types, and two by the citizens of the internet.

Now that all that's out of the way, let's look at which cars (and trucks) have made it. During the semis, the car choices were the Chevrolet Camaro SS, Ford Fusion Hybrid and Taurus SHO, Kia Forte sedan, Mazda3, Nissan Cube and Ford Shelby Mustang GT500. As for trucks, it was down to the Audi Q5, Audi Q7 TDI, Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Raptor, Ford Transit Connect, Mercedes-Benz GLK and Volvo XC60. Whew – that's a lot of metal to chew on. But chew we did – and if you make the jump, you can check out the ICTY finalists. Here's a quick preview, Ford's looking mighty good in 2010.
